Calais Jungle Encampment

During the summer of 2024, I visited Paris to study the history of migration in the French Mediterranean. Throughout the weeks preceding the Olympics, I was exposed to the forced displacement of hundreds of migrants who had been sheltering in Paris.

These portraits, completed July 2024, depict migrants expelled from the Calais Jungle encampment in October 2016 based on photographs taken by journalists during the eviction.
